MTP Cassettes
MTP (Mechanical Transfer Pull-Off) cassettes are one of the most recent technological advances in the field of fiber optics. The cassette consists of LC or SC couplers in the front, an MTP coupler in the back, and MTP to LC/SC fan out assembly inside of the cassette.
To operate this mechanism the MTP cable is plugged into the back, and then fans out through the inside of the cassette. Each cable is able to hold up to 12 different connections. After this is completed patch cables must be plugged in and the machine is then able to function. These cassettes are also designed to be able to RAC and WAC series fiber optic patch panels.
